Aquabase watermakers now represented in the UK and Ireland
French manufacturer SLCE Watermakers has appointed Technical Marine Supplies to represent its Aquabase-branded watermakers in the UK and Ireland.
Based in Lorient, SLCE Watermakers manufactures a range of watermakers for many different industries worldwide, from the largest cruise liners and navel craft to the smaller, more compact Aquabase range designed for the leisure marine industry.
“We are very excited to be back on the UK market, along with the very motivated and efficient TMS team,” says Luc Magnoler, SLCE export manager.
TMS was recently invited to the factory for a tour of the manufacturing process, coupled with two days of intensive training, including hands-on servicing and fault finding. “Being able to physically see the common installation faults was a great way to understand how to fix these potential issues,” says Nick Cook, senior sales manager for TMS continues.
“Meeting the entire SLCE Watermaker team was great for our future relationship, and seeing the amount of after-sales support within the group was refreshing, as it shows how customer-focused the company truly is.”
The Aquabase range consists of the ESW range of energy recovery watermakers, designed for boats with low energy resources, and the compact Aruba, which offers a comfort option and a premium option with automatic pressure regulation and fully automatic flushing.
The range of Aqua-Base machines undergoes intense trials, some of which last more than 10,000 hours, meaning the full range qualifies for Bureau Veritas certification.
