ASTenders appoints Australia and New Zealand distributor
German boatbuilder ASTenders has appointed Carbon Yachts as its exclusive distributor in Australia and New Zealand.
This partnership brings ASTenders’ high-performance carbon-fibre dinghy tenders from Germany to the Australian and New Zealand markets, including the 340 Revolve with its Mitek electric engine system, capable of reaching a top speed of 25 knots and a range of 120nm, and the lightweight Beach 280, which tips the scales at a dry weight of 30kgs.
The 340 Revolve and the new 400 Coast models made their world premieres at the recent boot Düsseldorf show in January. These two models, along with the rest of the range, including the 340 Coast Jockey (pictured top) and the Beach 280, will make their Australian premieres at the Sydney International Boat Show from 1-4 August 2024.
“These tenders are not only about luxury but about lasting value, with AST’s models capable of outlasting traditional inflatables by decades,” says Chris Hrones, co-founder of Carbon Yachts.
Founded by Thilo Keller and Catarina Jentzsch, ASTenders says it prioritises sustainability, incorporating recycled materials and electric propulsion options into its tenders, along with manufacturing processes that minimise waste and emissions.
“This partnership signifies a shared vision for the future of boating,” adds Hrones.
Following their showcase at the Sydney Boat Show, the ASTenders range will be displayed in Carbon Yachts‘ showrooms located in Sydney and the Gold Coast. Carbon Yachts also represents Saffier Yachts, Y Yachts, Virtue Yachts and Candela Yachts.
