boatfolk launches boat subscription scheme at Conwy Marina
boatfolk’s boat subscription service, Beyonder, has launched at Conwy Marina.
boatfolk says Beyonder helps aspiring boaters take their first steps into the world of boating without the burdens of boat ownership. The flexible service offers a subscription model, which allows its members to enjoy all the benefits of boating, without the need to look after maintenance, insurance or berthing.
Conwy Marina is the third boatfolk marina to offer Beyonder, following successful launches at Haslar and Portland. The expansion follows the recent launch of a new technical centre at Conwy in March, enhancing the marina’s ability to support beginner sailors, boat owners and individuals seeking moorings and full-service maintenance support.
The Jeanneau Merry Fisher 795 is the star of the Beyonder fleet and will be available at Conwy Marina, with plans to expand the fleet in the future. This model is available for £595 per month.
Piers Covill, managing director of Beyonder, says: “We are thrilled to introduce Beyonder, our innovative boat subscription service, to Conwy Marina. Beyonder offers a flexible and accessible way for individuals to immerse themselves in the boating lifestyle without the commitment of ownership.
“At boatfolk our mission is to create great places for anyone who wants to spend time in, on or by the water. Launching Beyonder at Conwy is another step to realising our mission and underscores our commitment to enhancing the boating experience and fostering a vibrant community of sailors in North Wales.”
Jon Roberts, Conwy Marina manager, says: “We warmly welcome Beyonder to Conwy Marina, offering a fantastic opportunity for both seasoned boaters and newcomers to enjoy boating without the challenges ownership can bring. Beyonder represents a new era of accessibility and convenience in enjoying our beautiful waters. We look forward to enriching the boating community here at Conwy Marina.”
How does Beyonder boat sharing work?
Beyonder caters to a wide audience from seasoned boaters who are looking to wind down when it comes to their boating commitments, or those who are keen to get into boating, even if they’ve never done it before.
Beyonder subscribers have the opportunity to make plenty of boating friends, get involved with marina events and tap into the expertise of the marina team.
Beyonder subscriptions start from £500 per month at other UK locations. Subscriptions last for 12 months and three pre-planned days can be booked at any one time, with bookings made up to six months in advance. Members also benefit from unlimited spontaneous use if their boat is available in the next 48 hours. These unlimited days can be booked in addition to planned days, helping members take advantage of sudden good weather. If a member’s boat is not available in the next 48 hours, a similar available boat can be booked instead, either at their home marina or in another UK location.
