Since moving to our new premises in Cowes high street, Boatshed Cowes is the talk of the town. With Cowes on the Isle of Wight being the centre of world sailing, it was obvious we needed to be associated with a reputable Charter sailing centre.
Pelican Racing is a dedicated Laser SB3 charter and RYA training centre.

Established in 2009, the company started with 6 SB3’s and a RIB-X 7.6m Explorer to offer Hassle free sailing to everyone from beginners to World Champions.
Now, going into 2010, Pelican have increased the fleet to 13 Laser SB3’s all stored and dry sailed from Cowes Yacht Haven.

Ideally based in the centre of the Solent, they have access to a full calendar of events starting at Club level, right through to Championship class events, JP Morgan Round the Island Race and Cowes Week. During JP Morgan Round the Island Race 2009, Pelican Racing achieved a 1st, 2nd, 5th, 8th, 12th and 13th.

In addition to racing, they offer RYA training from beginner courses and advanced racing clinics up to Yachtmaster Theory courses. For the non-racers, they are planning day trips in 2010. Click here for more information

The quality of their fleet is one of our highest priorities; as a result they turn over their boats regularly ensuring they are always safe and of a high standard.
With such a big fleet, they like to keep the fleet refreshed so our equipment remains the best.
