Brunswick Corporation has provided an update on its performance at the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), reporting record unit sales across several brands and a continuing increase in outboard engine market share.

During the five-day FLIBS 2024 event, which ran from 30 October to 3 November, Mercury Marine recorded its highest outboard market share at the show for the seventh consecutive year, with its engines accounting for 58 per cent of all outboards present and 74 per cent of those in the on-water portion, marking a 6 per cent increase over 2023.

Sea Ray surpassed last year’s record for units sold at Fort Lauderdale and concluded the show with strong retail revenue. The company launched its 250 Outboard and 270 SDX Outboard during a media event and previewed the upcoming 230 SDX Outboard.

Boston Whaler reported growth in both unit sales and retail revenue compared to 2023, with a high proportion of sales for boats 30 feet and larger. The company also introduced the new 330 Vantage, which, as the latest addition to the Vantage range, attracted positive media and consumer response, contributing to significant sales during the event.

Navan made its official entry into the North American market, reporting sales of both the C30 and S30 models.

Navico Group continued to feature its products on most US OEM boats and various international models, including its Fathom e-power system, the new Lenco Pro Control auto-levelling solution, and the Elite FS 10- and 12-inch displays, which were publicly displayed for the first time.

“Fort Lauderdale has been an outstanding venue for Brunswick, especially for Mercury Marine and our premium brands and products, and the 2024 show was no exception, with several record performances,” says Dave Foulkes, Brunswick Corporation CEO. “FLIBS surpassed expectations despite the ongoing market challenges and changeable weather all week. Sea Ray and Boston Whaler saw strong global interest and sales, Mercury continues to grow share in US saltwater markets, and Navico Group remains a key partner for most US and international OEMs.”
