CMP Group appoints senior vice president
CMP Group Ltd. has promoted Michael Szwez to senior vice president of sales and marketing, effective from 3 March 2025.
Canadian firm CMP manufactures marine products for military, commercial and recreational markets. Its product range includes corrosion protection, ground tackle, steering and control systems, and boat and dock accessories.
The firm is expanding its executive team as the marine industry continues to adapt to changing trade policies, tariffs and economic conditions, including the mounting pressures of a US trade war with China, Canada and Mexico. Szwez will focus on CMP’s global growth.
Szwez, who has 34 years of experience in the marine industry, joined CMP through the Dock Edge acquisition in 2019. He is also a board member of the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), where he contributes to policy discussions affecting the marine industry.
In his new position, Szwez will remain part of the executive leadership team and participate in quarterly board meetings.
