Dockmate and Vetus enhance compatibility
Dockmate is expanding its integration with systems from Vetus. The wireless remote controls company will build on its already-successful partnership with the thruster manufacturer. Through this new integration, Dockmate allows boaters with Vetus Bow Pro proportional thrusters to be in complete control of their boat’s movement from anywhere on board, including away from the helm where visibility is often limited.
“In the realm of thruster solutions available to boaters, Vetus has a sterling reputation for innovation, quality and durability, with the aim of making boating easy and carefree for everyone,” says Dirk Illegems, president, Dockmate. “By offering seamless integration, Dockmate’s solutions offer Vetus customers incredible versatility. We are confident that this will make the boating experience more enjoyable by giving boaters even more control over their vessel in challenging situations.”
Sander Gesink, Vetus’ marketing director says that through the partnership, the Dockmate team has demonstrated a deep understanding of the capabilities of Vetus’ products and how to put that functionality to the best use. “We are very excited to be integrated with the Dockmate system with our Bow Pro-series thrusters. As safe, efficient manoeuvring is one of the most difficult skills to master in boating, an investment in easy docking systems can transform the boating experience. Dockmate’s remote docking system is intuitive and customisable and we know that our customers will make great use of the extra level of confidence that these systems provide.”
Earlier this year, Horizon Power Catamarans announced all its future power catamarans will be equipped with Dockmate twin remote control systems, and in September Vetus appointed ProMot AG as its distributor for Switzerland.
