Dometic to launch ‘new generation’ of marine fridge at Cannes
Dometic is set to unveil its newest marine refrigeration solution at three upcoming boat shows, including the 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival.
The Swedish manufacturer, which specialises in outdoor recreation, says the Dometic NRX S is its latest innovation in fridges, ‘combining sleek design and quality finish with industry-leading energy efficiency.’
The novelty is to be showcased at Dometic’s stand at the 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival from 12-17 September (stand PAN315); the 2023 Southampton Boat Show from 15-23 September (stand J400); and the 2023 Genoa International Boat Show from 21-26 September (stand TD10).
The stainless steel Dometic NRX S is the immediate successor to the CRX product line.
Its sleek design is intended to fit in contemporary galleys of vessels from 18-100ft and is available in three cooling modes – Eco, Boost, Silent.
Dometic says the NRX S is designed for maximum efficiency, using up to 25 per cent less energy than comparable fridge models. This is thanks to its compact compressor and electric module, which consumes just 0.22kw per 24 hours. The compressor speed adapts to ambient temperatures, offering efficient cooling in all climate conditions.
The NRX S product line is available in six sizes, ranging from a 35-litre capacity up to 130 litres. It will be available in the EMEA region from August 2023.
“The NRX S is the next generation of refrigerators using our latest cooling technology,” says Eric Fetchko, president of the marine segment at Dometic. “Combined with outstanding design, the new generation of our marine fridges will be appreciated by boaters in the region.”
