Dynamiq launches refit operations in Antalya, Turkey
Monaco-based superyacht builder Dynamiq has launched its refit and conversion operations in its facility in the Antalya Free Zone, in the south of Turkey.
Dynamiq says its facility in Antalya, a designated low-tax zone and boatbuilding hub, can now accommodate superyachts up to 65 meters (215 feet) for bespoke refits.
The first vessel to participate in the refit programme is the 39-metre Dynamiq superyacht M/Y Jetsetter (delivered 2016), which has already arrived at Dynamiq’s facility for a comprehensive refit.
Dynamiq says the project will cover a range of refurbishments, from propulsion systems overhauls to interior upgrades. One of the refit’s main tasks is the maintenance of the pods and their gearboxes, a project being led by Reintjes technicians.
Antalya Free Zone is a government-protected area that benefits from a special tax regime. It hosts a cluster of high-profile shipyards from both Turkey and the Netherlands. Dynamiq says all yachts are protected throughout the refit period, and all the extra tax savings allow it to propose lower prices.
The facilities include in-house production of luxury interiors, such as stainless steel and teak. A 2,000-tonne syncrolift is also on site.
