Excel Marine Group to offer SeaStorm boats
Excel Marine Group in the UK has expanded its offering for 2024 to include SeaStorm boats through its retail channels, and has dealership opportunities for the brand alongside its own range of inflatables and RIBs.
SeaStorm boats are the brainchild of Len Ystmark – who has a 20-year track record of HDPE and composite sea kayaks with SeaBird Designs – and Mannerfelt Design Studio. Currently offering a range of high-performing HDPE powerboats from 12-17 feet, SeaStorm is planning additional models.
With modern seating and high-performance, lightweight hulls, SeaStorm boats are said to provide their owners exceptional performance, even when matched with smaller, economical outboard motors; the hull is so robust that it comes with a 20-year warranty.
“We are delighted to work with SeaStorm boats, which sit alongside our proven range of SIBs and aluminium-hulled RIBs,” says Josh Taylor, CEO of Excel Marine Group. “We feel that they are an ideal complement to our existing range, which offers a high-quality boating experience at an accessible price point.
“SeaStorm’s use of HDPE fits well with our belief in using materials that consider end of life recycling, but with a 20-year warranty, we do not expect that this will need to be a consideration for quite some time.”
The first SeaStorm 17 in the UK was exhibited at BoatLife (15-18 February) alongside a selection of the Excel SIB and RIB range. The company reports it was met with great positivity which was reflected in strong sales, both trade and retail.
Stephen Blake, sales director of Excel Marine Group, adds: “With SeaStorm we have something truly unique in that it stands above its peers in its exceptional styling, racing pedigree and performance. In addition to the obvious leisure lifestyle sales we have had a number of very interesting enquiries of the smaller models from rental markets and for use as a tender.”
