Fresh epoxy demo format for Wessex Resins & Adhesives at SIBS
Wessex Resins & Adhesives says it’ll be running demonstrations throughout the duration of the Southampton International Boat Show, with its technical team available throughout the event to provide advice and support, at stand J401.
Dan Lee Boatbuilding will join Wessex with a showcase of cold moulding veneer using vacuum consolidation and share designs for Temptress, a 24-foot runabout. Lee will present a quarter-scale model on the stand. The full-scale version is available as plans or kit.
“The West System product range we manufacture in Romsey is used by dinghy builders and for large-scale yacht construction. It is used far and wide by just about every boat yard involved in restoration repair and renovation. Wessex Resins expert team of technical advisors are on hand to provide technical know-how and advice to sailors who want to repair a leak or restore their next adventure that awaits,” says Ian Oliver, managing director of Wessex Resins & Adhesives.
Wessex says its team also welcomes any questions on using Pro-Set epoxies for composite work and its Bio-Based Entropy Resins.
This year marked the introduction of a re-formulated product, West System 207 Special Clear Hardener, which is said to offer high strength and moisture-resistant properties and an exceptionally clear finish.
