Highfield Boats expands electric tender range
Three new all-electric models, the CL310E, CL360E and CL380E, have been added to the Highfield Boats Classic Tender range, featuring the Navy Evo electric outboard motor from ePropulsion.
The aluminium RIB specialist has also just added the new-look Sport SP560 and Sport SP800 to its Advanced Sport range.
Classic Tender range
The Classic E range of tenders, which already includes the CL340, launched at the beginning of 2023 at boot Düsseldorf.
The CL310E is powered by the 6hp Navy 3.0 Evo, which has a range of up to 49 miles, while the other two models are powered by the 9.9hp Navy 6.0 Evo, with a range extending to 72 miles.
The Classic tenders have double decking to help keep feet dry, and feature aluminium hulls coupled with full-length keel guards suitable for pulling up the beach.
Highfield Boats says the expansion of its clean energy options reflects the company’s ethos of minimising boating’s impact on the environment.
As well as expanding its electric propulsion offering, the processes at Highfield’s facility in Weihai, China, reduce pollution by collecting all residual materials, including loose powder from the powder coating line, aluminium dust, smoke and VOC (chemicals) from glues and resins.
“We are proud of introducing the clean footprint of the Classic E series to our tender range,” says Highfield Boats’ managing director for Europe, Mathilde Delfour. “We developed these latest three models in response to the acclaim we received from the CL340, and customer demand for a greater variety of sizes. The introduction of electric boats is one of many steps that we are taking to balance environmental responsibility with the enjoyment of boating.”
Advanced Sport range
Sport SP800
The new-look Sport SP560 and Sport SP800 are also making their autumn 2023 debut, as new additions to Highfield’s Advanced Sport range.
The Sport SP560 has a newly designed A-frame and carbon console, while the Sport SP800 echoes the detailing of Highfield’s flagship Sport SP900, but at a size which can easily be towed or launched from a drystack.
The Sport SP800 has an accessible bathing platform and spacious entertainment area, plus space for an under-console toilet.
Sport SP560
“We are proud of both these new models in the Sport range, which have moved into the future of onboard styling and with a packed choice of features for comfort,” says Delfour. “Combined with the all-weather hull design, the SP560 and SP800 both provide a versatile ride for crunching the miles as well as a great living space at anchor.”
