Highfield Boats increases market share and adds six dealers
Rigid inflatable boat (RIB) manufacturer Highfield Boats recently added six new dealer partners to its extensive network across the US.
Aluminium RIB manufacturer Highfield Boats has also reported it maintained its position as the leading supplier of RIBS in the US throughout 2023 and also gained 6 per cent market share in its competitive segment between Q3 2023 and Q3 2022, bringing its overall share of the inflatable to 27.3 per cent, according to an independent survey by Statistical Surveys Inc (SSI) based on new boat registrations.
The new Highfield dealers include:
• Atlas Yacht Sales, with locations in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Saint Augustine Florida, and in Puerto Rico. Atlas Yacht Sales also represents several major sailing yacht brands.
• Big Water Marine, with two locations on Lake Texoma, in Pottsboro, Texas, and Kingston, Oklahoma. Big Water Marine also offers a variety of new fishing boat, pontoon, and duck boat brands.
• Broken Rudder, in Juneau, Alaska, equips adventurous boaters with aluminium fishing boats, PWCs and off-road vehicles in addition to Highfield RIBs.
• Dry Harbour Marine on Northern Lake Michigan in Charlevoix, represents a range of outboard, sterndrive and inboard-powered boats from bay boats to cruisers.
• Hampton Roads Inflatables on the York River at the entrance to Chesapeake Bay in Yorktown, Virginia, is the exclusive authorised Highfield dealer in the state, offering the full Highfield Boats range.
• Trexler’s Marina on Lake Winnipesaukee in Moultonboro, New Hampshire, offers boats from canoes and kayaks to pontoons, centre consoles and small cruisers.
“We are excited to welcome these dealers to the Highfield Boats family. While they are located on very different bodies of water and serve customers with very different needs and boating lifestyles, Highfield RIBS, with their rugged and seakindly aluminium hulls, fit extremely well in each of these markets,” says Christophe Lavigne, president of Highfield Boats USA.
“Our dealership is focused on sailing, yachts and catamarans. For all the sailboats we sell, a dinghy or tender needs to be offered. So we needed another product for our clients. I have known about Highfield for years,” says Jim Verga, owner of Atlas Yacht Sales. “So many products out there are of such poor quality, they last maybe a year. Highfield has withstood many years…. Highfield is catching a lot of attention. It’s a great little boat that boaters can use to just enjoy being on the water.”
“We’re a new dealership started last August, although we’ve been in the business for years. Our focus is on providing our customers with high-end, high-quality products. We love Highfield. The line fits our need for a quality line to offer our customers. Adding it just made a lot of sense,” says Michael Tucker, owner of Big Water Marine.
Established in 2011, Highfield Boats has grown into a worldwide boat builder with a complete line of RIBS featuring high-tensile, powder-coated aluminium hulls from 6ft to 30ft, including tenders and heavy-duty RIBs at home on any ocean. The boatbuilder has dealers and distributors in 46 countries. Highfield’s state-of-the-art production facility is located in Weihai, China. In 2023, Highfield Boats USA opened a new rigging and distribution facility in Cadillac, Mich.
