Hurley Marine signs Turkish distributor
US davit manufacturer Hurley Marine has signed a distribution agreement with Viking Deniz in Turkey.
Michigan-based Hurley Marine designs and produces a range of davit systems that allow heavy tenders and jet skis to be launched, recovered, and stored easily on a swim platform.
Hurley says all variants can handle loads of up to 453kg. They are quickly removed when not in use, keeping the swim platform area completely free for other activities.
“Following increased exposure for Hurley Marine products in Europe, enquiries from all markets have increased, not least from Turkey,” says Martin Harding, managing director GMA, which represents Hurley Marine in Europe.
“[This is why] it was important for us to secure a partnership with a quality distributor that will stock and support the range in this important market, and so we are very pleased to have made this agreement with Viking Deniz.”
Emre Özsoz, CEO at Viking Deniz, adds: “This is an innovative range of products that will prove to be popular in Turkey, since the Hurley Marine range provides a unique and a very practical solution to managing tenders and jet skis on a larger boat.
“We are looking forward to receiving our initial stock and introducing Hurley to all our customers over the coming months.”
Last year, Hurley Marine strengthened its presence in Europe with leading Scandinavian retailer Watski, adding the marine accessory manufacturer’s davit systems to its portfolio.
