Integrel Solutions expands into the Italian market with Power Group
Integrel Solutions, a marine power generation and hybrid propulsion technology firm, has appointed Power Group Srl as its new distributor in Italy. The partnership marks the company’s official entry into the Italian marine market.
The news was announced at the Genoa International Boat Show, where Integrel Solutions products were presented on the Power Group stand.
Trevor Howard, CEO of Integrel Solutions, explains: “There has been a huge amount of interest in Integrel during the Genoa Boat Show, and we’re delighted to already be better connected with the Italian boatyards and end users.”
Diego Volpi, Power Group’s general manager, comments on the partnership: “This is an exciting time for Power Group Italia as we continue to expand our portfolio with leading brands. We’re thrilled to partner with Integrel Solutions and look forward to introducing their innovative E-Power and E-Drive systems to boatbuilders and marine professionals across Italy.”
Integrel’s 48V E-Power system can generate up to 9kW of energy (18kW in a dual system) by utilising spare power from existing inboard diesel engines. The company is set to launch its E-Drive later this year, offering electric-hybrid propulsion and power generation capabilities. Both systems are touted to be ‘lightweight, highly reliable, and provide a sustainable energy solution’. Balance Catamarans, a South African boat builder, is an early adopter of the E-Drive product; its first catamaran outfitted with the E-Drive is set to be launched later this year.
“We’re excited to work with Diego and the Power Group team to significantly grow the Integrel brand in Italy. Their technical expertise and knowledge aligns perfectly with our goals for the region,” adds Howard.
The partnership with Power Group additionally aligns with Integrel Solution’s existing collaboration (formed at the 2023 Boot Dusseldorf show) with Navico Group, EMEA, which aims to develop integrated power solutions for boaters. The Navico Group’s Fathom e-power brand is billed as an alternative to traditional genset solutions and integrates with the Integrel system.
Integrel will continue to focus on providing technologies that reduce emissions and dependence on traditional fuel-consuming engines and generators, further contributing to marine energy transition goals.
