Marine electronics brand Lowrance has unveiled its latest innovation for fishing technology with an addition to its Eagle Eye.

This new option to the latest Eagle fishfinder now includes an all-in-one live sonar solution that combines CHIRP and DownScan in one transducer. It also displays a detailed C-MAP on an IPS screen display. 

According to the company, the solution offers anglers ‘best-in-class resolution’ similar to its Active Target 2 but includes autotuning features with focused down and forward views. Along with chirp sonar and DownScan imaging, it has FishReveal, which allows users to distinguish fish types. The new range of imaging colour palettes will enable users to adapt the display to various conditions.

Jermiah Clark, VP and general manager for Fishing Systems at Navico Group, says: “Anglers of any level can now take advantage of this complete, high-quality live sonar solution to improve their technique by watching fish react to the lure in real-time. From four different sonar views to detailed C-Map charts, the all-in-one package provides everything you need for a great day out on the water.”

The new twist-lock connection system makes for easy installation, and the device comes pre-loaded with C-Map charts, varying by region. In the Americas, it includes high-resolution inland charts for over 17,000 lakes and a coastal charting bundle. The European, Middle Eastern, and African versions include a worldwide base map with an option to upgrade to C-map Discover. The Asia-Pacific region features inland and coastal charts for New Zealand and Australia.

RRP is £1,299.99 inc VAT and is available with a 9-inch display. The Eagle Eye from Lowrance represents the brand’s efforts to bring professional-grade fishing technology to a broader market.
