MDL Marinas begins renovation at Hamble Point Marina, UK

Work is underway on new facilities at MDL’s Hamble Point Marina, on the UK south coast.
As part of a £500,000 development project, Hamble Point Marina will have new toilets and showers. The new facilities are scheduled to open for the 2025 boating season.
The toilets and shower facilities will feature contemporary individual cubicles, family friendly spaces and dedicated accessible facilities. Passive Infrared operated lighting and ventilation systems will be installed to improve energy efficiency and sustainability.
In December 2024, MDL Marinas outlined plans to invest £13.6m in its network during the 2024/25 season. A further £4.1m will be allocated by March 2025 as part of a broader £40m strategy aimed at improving infrastructure, sustainability and service standards over the next five years.
“We’re excited to begin work on this important upgrade,” says Debbie Burns, manager of Hamble Point Marina. “Our customers deserve the very best, and this investment emphasises our ongoing dedication to improving their experience. The new facilities will not only be more accessible but also set a new standard in comfort and convenience for all boaters visiting Hamble Point Marina.”
The toilet and shower upgrade project is a key element of a wider £1.2m investment across Hamble Point Marina, which includes upgrades to roadways, waste management facilities and parking.
