Multiplex, the superyacht carbon equipment manufacturer, has appointed Marko Böhme as its new chief operating officer.  Böhme will bring significant maritime industry expertise to the Germany-based firm’s management team.

Böhme enters the role with a vast maritime background that spans multiple shipping industry sectors. His professional background includes serving as a captain in passenger shipping, working as a staff officer in the German Navy, and holding technical leadership positions across commercial and cruise ship companies.

Böhme says: “I am looking forward to the task and to contributing my expertise and drive to the team and the processes. It is certainly not a disadvantage that I have mainly worked on the customer side in the past, i.e. purchasing equipment. From this perspective, the qualities in production and sales can definitely be significantly supported and improved.”

Prior to joining Multiplex, Bohme gained experience at various organisations, including Bremer Lloyd, Crystal Cruises, Oceanwide Expeditions and United Waterways Group.

Jan Reiners, CEO of Multiplex, adds: “I am delighted to have gained such an experienced manager. With Marko Böhme, we are strengthening our team in an excellent way and will further expand our already outstanding position in the market.”
