New electric boat brand to launch at Cannes
Ripple Boats, a new long-range electric boat brand from Norway, is hosting a launch party at the Cannes Yachting Festival this September, giving guests the chance to meet the brand’s executive team, ask questions, and be among the first to see the brand’s designs.
The Ripple Boats brand was founded jointly by Norwegian boat builder Frydenbø Marine and startup Pascal Technologies.
Ripple will specialise in the design and production of sustainable, family-friendly boats. Founders say the brand is focused on creating boats that are not only easy to own and operate, but also have a positive impact on the environment.

The invitation-only launch event is taking place on 13 September 2023 from 7pm-9pm, ending with drinks overlooking the marina Vieux Port.
During the launch party, the Ripple Boats team will also be announcing their financing plans and upcoming crowdfunding campaign, which will be held on the Norwegian platform Dealflow. Founders say their aim is to raise kr25-35m (€2-3m). The crowdfunding round is currently open to private investors only and will open to the public on Dealflow mid-September 2023, following the launch event.
Ripple Boats’ first 10m model will be on display during the launch party in Cannes. The electric day cruiser has been designed by Norwegian design studio, Thorup Design, and is said to to offer spacious seating arrangements, user-friendly technology (automatic anchor handling, remote monitoring, over-the-air updates), and advanced safety features.
“Our launch party during the Cannes Yachting Festival is the first opportunity for people to experience our vision for the future of electric boating and better understand how we plan to make the boating experience simple, easy and fun for the whole family,” says Nathaniel Frithiof, CCO of Ripple Boats.
