New executive director at America’s Boating Club
America’s Boating Club, a volunteer recreational boating safety nonprofit in the United States, has appointed Maureen Healey as its new executive director.
Healey was previously executive director at the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway Association and the Personal Watercraft Industry Association. She also served as regional vice president of the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity, representing major American coal producers, utility companies and railroads.
“We are excited to welcome Maureen Healey as our new executive director,” says chief commander Ralph Bernard. “Her leadership skills and strategic insights make her the ideal choice to lead America’s Boating Club. We have great confidence in her ability to steer our organisation for years to come.”
Healey’s hire follows the retirement of America’s Boating Club’s previous executive director, Mary Catherine Berube.
“I’m honoured and grateful to the board for the opportunity to lead this exceptional organisation as its new executive director,” says Healey. “I am so thrilled to be back in the recreational boating community. America’s Boating Club is, first and foremost, a community for boaters, by boaters. Its members and volunteers are the lifeblood of the organisation, and I hope to honour and leverage this unique resource as we grow the organisation and meet the challenges faced by the boating industry today.”
