New US managing director for CMC Marine
Stabiliser, thruster, steering and intruder system developer CMC Marine has appointed Raffaele Invrea as managing director for the company’s American office.
The Italian firm’s US office opened in Fort Lauderdale in 2019, and CMC says Invrea’s appointment confirms its intention to grow and invest in the US market.
CMC Marine says the Fort Lauderdale office is of increasing strategic importance to reach local owners and understand the specific requirements of customers with different needs to those in Europe.
Invrea was born in Italy but has lived in the United States for over 20 years. For over 15 years, he worked as general manager of US company Sea Recovery (Danfoss Group and then Parker), a specialist in seawater desalinators.
“I’m very pleased with this important new addition to our management team because, along with the staffing of the US office, it represents a milestone in the development process launched in 2019,” says Alessandro Cappiello, founder and CEO of CMC Marine. “With his experience and in-depth knowledge of the market, Raffaele Invrea will help us grow CMC Corp. and accelerate the expansion of the CMC brand in the United States, too.”
Earlier this year, CMC opened a new UK office on the south coast of England, to support its growth in north Europe and the UK.
