Outboard motor held in blue outboard motor sling from Barton Marine

Barton Marine’s Outboard Motor Sling has been nominated in the Equipment Innovation of the Year category at The British Yachting Awards 2024.

The sling is designed to make the installation, removal and transportation of outboard motors a straightforward and stress-free experience.

Manufactured from strong, durable webbing with marine grade stainless steel buckles and clips for easy use, it’s said to ensure maximum robustness and long service life, lifting engines of up to 15hp repeatedly.

The British Yachting Awards consists of eleven categories covering many industry areas from yacht design, sailing achievements, events and product innovation. The final winners will be decided by the boating public who are able to vote online until 10th November 2024.

Suzanne Blaustone, Barton Marine’s CEO, says: “We are so proud that our new Outboard Motor Sling has been recognised within the industry and nominated for the Equipment Innovation of the Year Award. It was a sell-out success at the recent Annapolis US Sailboat Show and gathered a huge amount of interest.

“We listened to our customers who said they were let down by other sling assemblies. Our design takes the hassle out of moving outboards, making them easy and secure to manoeuvre. It’s engineered to stand the test of time.”
