Penguin Refrigeration, a supplier of marine refrigeration and air conditioning solutions, has announced its latest Vitrifrigo product – the C85 BD Nano.

Penguin Refrigeration, which supplies Italian refrigeration brand Vitrifrigo in the UK, is launching the updated C85 BD Nano for the British marine and motorhome industries. The C85 BD Nano features Secop’s ‘NextGen’ Nano Compressor, which is said to deliver a 44 per cent improvement in efficiency compared to current market options. Penguin says the product’s compact design is 40 per cent smaller and 67 per cent lighter than competitors.

Already a popular choice for compact galleys due to its shallow depth at 470mm, Vitrifrigo’s updated C85 85-litre 12/24V under-counter fridge is designed to fit flush under a standard 500mm countertop. Penguin Refrigeration says the model has improved efficiency, making it suitable for solar power integration for self-sufficient operation.

The fridge features Vitrifrigo’s ‘Chromelock’ catch with a positive lock and vent position (for black and grey colourway options) and a ‘Steelock’ catch for stainless steel models.

The C85 has a built-in low-voltage cutout and high-voltage protection, making it suitable for offshore boating ventures. A sliding hinge kit can also integrate the C85 behind galley cupboard doors.

Penguin Refrigeration is the exclusive UK supplier of Vitrifrigo, Frigoboat and Climma brands of refrigeration products for campervans, luxury motorhomes, yachts and boats.

In August 2023, Penguin launched a new EU branch based in Cork, Ireland. The new distribution subsidiary is called Penguin Refrigeration EU.

The firm recently promoted Paul Merrett to the newly created position of Vitrifrigo sales manager.
