Riva renews partnership with Italian design studio
Riva and design studio Officina Italiana Design have renewed their exclusive collaboration contract for five more years. The agreement, signed at a ceremony attended by Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi and Officina Italiana Design founding partners Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, consolidates a storied partnership that first began in 1994.
The new contract, which runs until 2030, was signed at Riva’s Sarnico shipyard, once used by Carlo Riva himself.
“Officina Italiana Design is a renaissance atelier, characterised by an outstanding level of innovation, that has discovered the formula for timeless elegance. Here at Sarnico, where it all started, we’ve signed an exclusive agreement that will drive the creation of amazing ‘made in Italy’ boats featuring unrivalled care, style and design,” says Galassi. “2030 is a magnificent horizon of beauty and research that Riva’s masterpieces of tomorrow already have in their sights.”
“Renewing this collaboration for five more years doesn’t only consolidate a decades-old professional relationship, but also confirms that Riva is now an integral part of my and Mauro’s personal and emotional story,” says Beretta.
“It’s a partnership we’re particularly proud of, and the five-year period is also important, because it allows us to pursue a major development plan in which we’ll surely face some exciting new challenges,” says Officina Italiana Design chief designer, Mauro Micheli.
