SIBS 2023: New marine insurance launches
Howden UK & Ireland has launched its new marine insurance practice at the Southampton International Boat Show. The new marine practice provides a full spectrum of insurance solutions to the marine industry, UK boat owners and blue ocean cruisers.
The new practice will operate under three distinctive trading styles, as Haven Knox-Johnston, Haven Knox-Johnston Specialist and Haven Knox-Johnston Commercial.
The new structure brings together the existing Howden Group marine businesses: Haven Knox-Johnston, A-Plan Marine, Howden Fastnet, Euromarine Insurance Services, plus Howden’s most recent marine acquisition, Curtis Marine.
The highly experienced team includes some of the industry’s most recognised professionals, plus more than 70 insurance specialists across six office locations.
Steve Hook, head of UK Marine Practice, says: “Our new marine practice allows us to make full use of the combined expertise and experience across Howden for the benefit of our clients. Our goal is to recognise and meet the needs of clients head-on by placing their requirements at the very centre of our thinking. We want to deliver choice, be accessible, give expert advice and deliver real value for money at a time when rising costs are challenging and personal service is at a premium.
The Howden Group is committed to becoming the UK’s insurance broker of choice, with an innovative approach to delivering the best insurance solutions by challenging insurers to meet the needs of its clients, today and for tomorrow.
Howden’s innovative employee ownership model means that our employees have a commitment to listen, understand, and respond to the needs of our customers and make a difference.”
