Smartgyro announces new R&D manager
Italy-headquartered gyro stabilisation company Smartgyro has promoted Fabrizio Stifani to research and development (R&D) manager.
Stifani is one of the founding members of the Smartgyro company since 2014, and has been promoted from his current role as senior software and hardware engineer. His new management position will head up Smartgyro’s efforts in research, innovation, and product development.
“It is a very exciting time for Smartgyro as a business as we celebrate our ten-year milestone this year,” says Stifani. “I’m looking forward to leading and guiding our excellent R&D team in our continued efforts to improve and innovate Smartgyro’s portfolio. It’s a great honour for me to have been part of Smartgyro’s history, and I’m excited to be part of its future.”
In his new role as the head of the nine-strong research and development (R&D) team, Stifani will aim to explore new technologies and automate quality control systems to free up time for creative work.
Smartgyro, which turns ten this year, designs and develops a range of advanced gyro stabilisers for recreational and commercial marine applications.
The firm has recently been targeting larger boats and expanding into new markets, including Australasia and the US.
The marine fin stabiliser market will grow significantly over the next decade, according to a recent study by market research firm Future Market Insights.
The study claims that the marine fin stabiliser market will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.1 per cent from 2023 to 2033, reaching a value of around US$26.1bn.
