Solé Diesel to showcase HVO-friendly range at METSTRADE
Solé Diesel will showcase its range of inboard diesel marine engines and marine generators at this year’s METSTRADE Show (15-17 November 2023). Visitors can see its range of HVO-friendly marine engines and generators at stand 02.505.
Following the company’s recent exhibition at Europort in Rotterdam, Barcelona-based firm Solé Diesel offers an up-close look at its products at METSTRADE, the world’s largest marine equipment trade show, which returns to RAI Amsterdam this week.
Solé Diesel, which manufactures engines, marine gensets, propellers, and accessories, says it aims to reshape marine propulsion in the industry using hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO). HVO is a low-carbon drop-in diesel replacement fuel made from renewable waste, residue and vegetable oils.
HVO is a renewable and sustainable diesel alternative derived from vegetable oils, animal fats, and waste cooking oils. It undergoes a hydro-processing treatment, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants, leading to cleaner combustion.
All of Solé Diesel’s engines and marine generators are HVO-friendly.
One of the products on display at METSTRADE this year is the MINI-17 diesel engine. The MINI-17 is a twin-cylinder diesel boat engine with mechanical injection, which performs 16hp at 3.600rpm with 635 cc, manufactured with a Mitsubishi base engine. It is specially designed for sailboats and small fishing boats.
In addition, the firm is displaying the 10 GSC marine generator, a single-phase marine generator assembled on a three-cylinder Mitsubishi engine block, which is suitable for leisure boats with larger electrical demand. It is also HVO-compatible.
“We are pleased to announce our participation in METSTRADE, as we have been doing for over 15 years,” Noelia Calvo from the firm’s marketing department, tells MIN.
“Our booth will include the MINI-17 diesel engine and the 10 GSC marine generator, both representing the pinnacle of reliability, efficiency, and performance. What sets our offerings apart is their compatibility with sustainable HVO fuel, underlining our commitment to eco-friendly solutions.”
Calvo adds: “At METSTRADE, our objectives include continuing to provide the best marine solutions, solidifying our position in the leisure boating market, and extending our market reach. Currently, we are proud to be present in more than 60 countries, and we are actively working to expand our presence in those where we are not yet available.
“Our team will be on hand to discuss how our technologies can elevate the marine experience.”
