Speaker and sponsors confirmed for IMarEST annual dinner
British actor, comedian, presenter and screenwriter Mark Williams will be the special guest speaker at the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST) annual dinner on 25 April 2024, which takes place at the Leonardo Royal Hotel, London City.
IMarEST is the international membership body for marine professionals operating in the spheres of marine engineering, science or technology.
IMarEST’s annual dinner 2024 marks its 119th anniversary this year, bringing together marine professionals from across the world to network in celebration of the maritime industry.
Williams (pictured left) has appeared in films including 101 Dalmatians, Shakespeare in Love, Stardust and Mr Weasley in seven of the eight Harry Potter films.
He is known for classic TV appearances including The Fast Show and as the eponymous hero of the Father Brown series. He also owns a small fishing boat.
“This year’s annual dinner is promising to be a very special one,” says Chris Goldsworthy, IMarEST’s newly appointed CEO. “I’m looking forward to welcoming our members and guests in my new role as chief executive. The event would not be possible without the support of our wonderful IMarEST community.”
Lloyd’s Register and Industrial Power and Marine Ltd are the first confirmed sponsors for the event.
