Suntex Marinas makes acquisition in New Jersey
Recreational marina owner Suntex Marina Investors has acquired Lighthouse Point Marina & Yacht Club in Toms River, New Jersey.
Lighthouse Point is a full-service marina located along the Toms River, offering 243 wet slips and 38 jetski slips, each with access to electric, water, cable and wifi.
“Expanding our offerings in the beautiful and iconic Jersey Shore area is a long-term goal of ours, and Lighthouse Point is a perfect addition for our portfolio in that region,” says Sam Chavers, senior vice president of coastal operations at Suntex Marinas. “This is a high-demand marina with a very loyal customer base and every possible amenity, located in a vibrant waterfront community that is a destination hotspot for locals and tourists alike. We believe that Suntex can elevate Lighthouse Point and provide even more for guests and the surrounding population.”
Located within a fully protected natural breakwater on the river, which leads into Barnegat Bay, it offers amenities including a full-service boat yard with haul and launch capabilities, winterisation services, easily accessible customer amenities of bathrooms and showers, laundry facilities, a pool with lounges and cabanas, a game room, activities, snack bar, pump out stations and a store.
The growing Suntex portfolio includes marinas in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee and Virginia.
Earlier this month, the firm acquired marina management company Almar Marinas, merging Almar’s owned marinas and management company Almar Management, Inc. with Suntex Marinas.
