The International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) says it’s expanding pavilions and trade routes for this year and will focus on start-ups, industry education, as well as cutting-edge technologies and processes.

Similar to last year’s METSTRADE, IBEX will have a start-up pavilion in 2024. This will be in partnership with Yachting Ventures and will provide a platform for 12 start-ups to showcase cutting-edge technologies. Start-ups will then have the opportunity to pitch their products and/or technology to a panel of investors and industry leaders in front of a live audience.

There’s going to be four product pavilions. The National Marine Electronics Association will host 20 companies in the electronics pavilion while the compliance, standards, and education pavilion has seven exhibitors, and the composites pavilion has 49. There’s a sustainable technology pavilion with 23 companies showcasing their products to reduce carbon emissions, empower cleaner processes for propulsion, and promote a more sustainable future, plus international pavilions from France, Italy and Australia.

IBEX also offers product ‘trade routes’ which bring together all companies under a thematic – for example the Sustainable Technology Trade Route, which includes companies outside of the specific sustainability pavilion. There’s a marina and yard route, and an electronics one (identifying companies that are NMEA 2000 compliant).
