VideoRay names new director of product and innovation
VideoRay, a specialist in underwater robotic systems, has appointed Todd Holtz as the company’s new director of product and innovation.
US-based ROV (remotely operated vehicle) developer VideoRay says Holtz will play a key role in developing new underwater robotic systems, expanding payloads, enhancing testing and quality control processes, and optimising new technologies for production.
Holtz, who has previously served in the US Navy, has experience in fields including design engineering and product development, and managerial positions with a focus on underwater robotic systems, subsea technical solutions and offshore project support.
“Todd will be a great addition to the VideoRay team,” says said Chris Gibson, VideoRay’s chief executive.
“The combination of his unique skills and industry experience will help guide our product development efforts as we bring our new Mission Specialist configurations to market.”
In May 2023, VideoRay secured a US$16.1 million order for Mission Specialist Defender underwater remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and related components for the US Navy’s Maritime Expeditionary Standoff Response (MESR) programme.
Gibson adds: “In this role, Todd will ensure that we understand and meet the needs of our defence, renewable and offshore customers, while retaining our stringent commitment to quality and reliability.”
