Williams Jet Tenders stars in spy blockbuster film
Tender specialist Williams Jet Tenders’ SportJet 250 will star on the silver screen in the upcoming blockbuster film Argylle.
The SportJet 520 is used in a riveting chase scene along the iconic River Thames in the spy thriller film. A collaboration between Apple Original Films and MARV, Argylle features a stellar cast, including Henry Cavill, John Cena, Ariana DeBose, Dua Lipa, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Sofia Boutella and Samuel L. Jackson.
From the mind of director and producer Matthew Vaughn, creator of the Kingsman franchise and Kick-Ass, Argylle is hotly anticipated. The film stars Bryce Dallas Howard (star of the Jurassic World franchise) as Elly Conway, a reclusive author whose quiet life takes a thrilling turn as the espionage plots from her novels mirror real-life spy activities.
Tom Dowdell, head of marketing at Williams Jet Tenders, says: “We are thrilled about Argylle and the debut of our SportJet on the big screen in such an exciting new film. We can hardly wait to witness the cinematic spectacle when it hits the big screen in February.”
Williams was founded in 2004 and offers offers 17 models in six ranges. The company has an 80,000 sq ft purpose-built facility in Oxfordshire, and each tender is hand-built by a team of dedicated and skilled craftsmen who pride themselves on quality.
In 2023, MIN reported on another boat brand hitting the big screen, when two vessels built by Cockwells Modern & Classic Boatbuilding starred alongside Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx in the Netflix Original Back in Action.
The film, which is due to be released this year, is an action-comedy directed by Horrible Bosses’ Seth Gordon, and co-starring Kyle Chandler and Glenn Close.
Diaz, who returned to acting after a pause to raise her daughter for the shoot, was spotted filming action scenes on the Thames aboard the sleek Cockwells superyacht tender Grace. The Duchy Sport was also used during filming.
