ZeroJet to launch electric outboard
New Zealand electric jet builder has given a first look of the ZeroJet Electric Outboard.
ZeroJet plans to introduce the 20kW 48-volt outboard with deliveries to begin in mid-2025.
According to the manufacturer, the 20kW (25hp equivalent) outboard offers an ‘unseen power-to-weight ratio, surpassing all other electric outboards on the market’.
The unit weighs 38kg and runs on a 48V architecture. ZeroJet says this not only makes it safe for all marine enthusiasts but also ensures that you don’t have to compromise on performance for the sake of reducing emissions.
In April 2024, electric propulsion company ZeroJet announced plans to establish a sales office in Southampton, UK, to meet increasing demand for its 18kW electric jet unit.
